In the past you had to go to a store if you wanted to rent or buy a movie. As technologies have advanced, downloading dvds from off movie download sites is becoming very common. Here are some examples of movies you can acquire through a movie download site.

Batman: The comic book T.V. series hits the big screen. An evil and diabolical criminal, known as The Joker, is trying to take over Gotham City. The police are unable to stop him. The city is in peril, until a new super hero emerges. An unknown force, so to be called Batman comes on the scene and defeats The Joker and save the city.

Soul Food: The tradition of Sunday dinners with Mama Joe has kept the family together for going on 40 years. When she is hospitalized with diabetes, the Sunday dinners stop. Almost immediately the family falls into turmoil, with lots of infighting and problems. Finally Mama Joe’s grandson Ahmad sees what needs to be done, and Sunday dinners are revived.

Rebel Rousers: Designer Mitchell isn’t gratified while Dem keeps competing to see who can win over Mitchell’s pregnant lady friend. Nicholson, decked out in shocking striped slacks, robs the show in this entertaining time tablet. This movie was filmed in 1967. Cast includes Cameron Mitchell, Jack Nicholson, Bruce Dem, Diane Ladd, and (Harry) Dean Stanton. (78 minutes, 1970)

Abbott and Costello Meet the Invisible Man: In this classic, Abbott and Costello are police detectives are trying to help a boxer (Franz) who has been framed by a mobster. With the aid of invisibility formula things spin out of control. The special effects are high quality for the time. Bud Abbott, Lou Costello, Arthur Franz, Sheldon Leonard star in this film. (1951 Comedy-Sci-Fi)

Tombstone: Lawman Wyatt Earp is ready to retire. He has successfully cleaned up the streets of Dodge City, and moves to Tombstone. There he meets up with his brothers, and longtime friend Doc Holiday. With a band of outlaws, called The Cowboys, are running wild in the region. This sets up the infamous shoot out at the OK Coral.

The Land Before Time: This is an animated adventure story. We follow the adventures of five young dinosaurs left to fend for themselves. They are striving to reach a beautiful valley that has plenty of food and water for them. There are many obstacles in their way.

Hanna’s War: The real tale of Hungarian freedom fighter Hanna Senesh (Detmers), based in part on her daily log, is a misdirected mess. The youthful, Jewish WW2 martyr warranted a far more superior production than this overlong, uninspiring melodrama. Cast includes Ellen Burstyn, Maruschka Detmers, Anthony Andrews, Donald Pleasence, David Warner, Denholm Elliott, Vincenzo Ricotta, and Ingrid Pitt. (148 minutes, 1988)

Walk The Line: This film tells the life story of famed country singer Johnny Cash. His battles with alcohol and subsequent resurrection are both chronicled. His life runs the gamut of emotions, from despair to exaltation.

8 Below: Worth seeing as this is Stan Kubrick’s very last film. Cast includes Paul Stroller, Bruce Greenwood, Moon Bloodgood, Jason Biggs, Gerard Plunkett, August Schellenherg, and Wendy Crewson. (120 minutes, 2006)
